Established in 1956, we began as a small greenhouse operation in Mississauga. John G. Hofland, a young entrepreneur from Holland, with his wife Hendrika, sold their flowers to the Toronto market. As the business grew, Hofland began importing flowers from Holland to complement production. The product line expanded in the ’70s to include basic pottery and floral supplies. Over the following years, the supply & giftware lines continued to expand along with the importing of both fresh flowers and hard goods from areas around the world. Still family owned and operated by Glenn Hofland, our continued success is built on the collective effort of the team at Hofland.
The year 2014 brought significant change with the formation of the partnership between Hofland and Accent Décor. The team at Accent Décor travels the globe each season to build a new collection on the leading edge of today’s trends. Their beautiful ceramics, glassware, and home décor accents, combined with the Hofland selection of fresh flowers and design tools, creates an expansive product offering.Hofland has evolved into one of Canada’s largest full-service floral wholesalers (we are not open to the public. We only sell to licensed businesses). We maintain 150,000 square feet of warehouse space including a large Cash & Carry warehouse and a walk-in cooler to showcase our selection of unique flowers and greens imported from around the world. Our fleet of climate controlled vehicles ensures fresh product is kept at the optimal temperature during delivery.
Today, we service the floral, gift, home décor, event, garden centre and grocery industries. Hofland has grown to employ more than 120 people and has become an industry leader.

At Hofland we do not sell our product to the public, but to approved retailers only, to ensure your business and margins are protected Hofland is blessed to have the support of terrific clients and staff, and we believe it is our responsibility to help those less fortunate and give back to our community. We do this by sponsoring over 50 children in need through World Vision, supporting the MS Society along with several local charities and worldwide relief organizations
Cash & Carry Warehouse
Hofland operates a full service Cash and Carry warehouse at our Mississauga, Ontario location. We carry a full Selection of basic supplies, giftware and plants. We also feature Canada’s largest, state of the art, walk-in cooler with the widest selection of fresh cut flowers available.
Our Cash & Carry warehouse is not open to the public. We sell wholesale only to the floral and gift trade. To purchase in our warehouse you must have a current account with Hofland.
